When William ("Bill" or "Willie") and John were teenagers, their parents, Alfred and Annie split-up. Alfred re-married, (which is where Violet, Victor and Hilda come in), and sent the boys to Canada to find work. John "Jack" was a lumberjack and Willie a Mountie. Eventually, the boys crossed into the US (I have the acutal forms they signed somewhere and will upload those soon!), Willie went stayed in New York and worked on the RailRoad, and John came to Ashtabula.
John married Elsie Dorrine Heasley and had the following children:
Milford L. Kirk,
Reginald LeMoine Kirk, b. 2 Sep 1929 d. November 6, 2002,
Russell"Red" Delbert Kirk,
Elaine A. Kirk-Ludlow,
Gordan E. Kirk,
