He was the son of Willie Bud Varney & Betty Smith Varney (Spivey Mullins). He was married to Juanita Vaughn Varney. He died while serving in the Air Force in crash of his jet on takeoff from base in Cirencester, Glousestershire, England during training.
He was survived by his mother Betty, wife Juanita, brother Earnest Varney, brother Willie Varney, 1/2 sister Elva Spivey, and 1/2 brother Glen Spivey. He was preceded in death by his father, Willie Bud Varney, and 1/2 brother, Charles Spivey.

My uncle Kennie left this world at the young age of 24. My Dad never got over the loss of his younger brother. I know they are together again in Heaven.
