STREATOR - Eola Mills Walker, 98, of Streator, died Thursday evening, Oct. 26, at Heritage Manor, Streator.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Winterrowd Funeral Home in Streator. Burial will be in Cornell Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday.
Mrs. Walker was born Dec. 9, 1907, in Grand Rapids, Mich., to Albert and Etta (Nelson) Beckwith. She married Kenneth C. Mills on Jan. 3, 1927. He died Jan. 21, 1963. She then married Arthur Walker in October of 1974. He died in April of 1977.
She retired from Riverside Hospital in Kankakee in 1971, was a poetry writer and had a book of her poetry published.
She was a member of the Primitive Methodist Church in Streator and attended Cornell High School.
She is survived by two daughters, Helen Glos and Mary Busey, both of Anderson, S.C.; a daughter-in-law, Betty Mills Stewart of North Aurora; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, John Mills; and two brothers, Harold and Terry Beckwith.
Memorials may be directed to the Primitive Methodist Church.
