Mr. Marvin Milby, son of the late Mr. James Franklin Milby and Mrs. Luella Morgan Milby, was born September 16, 1911, in Green Co and departed this life on Tues, April 27, 1993 at the Jane Todd Crawford Memorial Hospital in Greensburg. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith.
He united in marriage to Miss Gertie Vaughn on December 25, 1938, who preceded him in death on Jan 1, 1981. To this union were born two daughters and two sons, Carolyn Jean Trowbridge of Louisville, Ronnie Dale Milby of Campbellsville, and Ernie Milby of Greensburg. He was preceded in death by Barbara Ann Milby on Jan 1, 1943.
He is also survived by one sister; Iva Williams of Shepherdsville; four grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, four step-great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
The funeral services were conducted at 3:30 p.m. Thurs, April 29, at the Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home with burial in the Aetna Grove Cemetery. Rev Danny Nelson officiated.
Pallbearers were James Scott, Jeff Shelton, Chris Wilson, LeRoy Shelton, Boyce Edward Dobson, Robbie Shelton and Larry Thompson.
