She was born on April 23, 1924 in Guernsey, Wyo., to Jay and Mary (Reitter) Adams. She married Dale H. Gerding on Jan. 6, 1946, in Lincoln, Neb. He died on Oct. 12, 1985.
She was a member of First Presbyterian Church. She was a member of Ottawa Regional Hospital Auxiliary and received an award for her years of service.
She is survived by two daughters, Linda (Jack) Bergman, of rural Streator and Susan (Robert) Boyle; two sons, Gary (Sue) Gerding and Larry (Marie) Gerding, both of Omaha, Neb., seven grandchildren, Rob and Tim Schiffbauer, Beth LeBeau, Dayle and Mickey Boyle, Tiffany Welch and Miranda Gerding; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband and one brother.
