Services for Mrs. Clara J. Bertelsen on Saturday

Services for Mrs. Elmer Bertelsen were held on Saturday March 26. Mrs. Bertelsen died Tuesday in the Dodge County Hospital from gunshot wounds in the chest.

Mrs. Bertelsen was 42 at the time of her death. She is survived by her husband Elmer, of Washington. Nebraska. She also is survived by one daughter; Charlotte also of Washington, Mrs. Bertelsen's mother is Mary Manuel of Belvedere, Illinois. There are also two surviving sisters; Mrs. Russell Marsili of Rockford, Illinois and Mrs. Lauren Stout of Beloit. Illinois.

Services were held at the Washington Community Church with the Rev. Harold Laursen officiating. Interment was in Prairie Cemetery at Washington.

Wm. Reckmeyer and Son, of Arlington, were in charge of arrangements.

Washington Lady Dies From Gun Shot Wounds

Mrs. Elmer Bertelsen, of Washington, Nebraska, died Tuesday of gunshot wounds.

Mrs. Bertelsen was taken to the Dodge County Hospital by the Reckmeyer ambulance on Friday. Two pistol wounds in the chest were the cause of death.

Funeral arrangements are pending at the time this paper went to press. Wm. Reckmeyer and Son, in Arlington, are handling the arrangements.
