Spec. 4/c U.S. Army, Vietnam War-Spec. Daugherty died of his wounds in a Military Hospital in Japan on 3-4-1970 while serving as an Infantryman with Co. C of the 2nd Battalion, 22nd Infantry Regiment, 25th Infantry Division. Spec. Daugherty started his tour of Vietnam on November 18, 1969.
He is the son of Mr. John W. & Mrs. Joan Daugherty of 636 Walnut Street in Roselle, Illinois, and is a 1967 graduate of Lake Park H.S. in Roselle. He does leave one brother, John, and three sisters, Miss Maureen, Miss Deborah, and Miss Alisa.
Awards: Purple Heart Medal, Combat Infantry Badge, Vietnam Service Medal with One Service Star, Vietnam Campaign Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal.
Footnote: He was to be married upon his return to the States to a Miss Margaret Bosch of 6931 Highland Avenue in Hanover Park.
