Radio Broadcaster. Known as "The Rockin Bird", he brought Rock and Roll to the Philadelphia airwaves. Appeared in the 1980 Guinness Book of World Records for playing the most consecutive different versions of "Stardust." During the 1990's he was recognized for his achievements by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, Ohio and the National Association of Broadcasters. He received a star on the Philadelphia Music Alliance Walk of Fame, and was a member of the Boardcast Pioneers of Philadelphia's Hall of Fame. He died of heart failure after undergoing surgery for bladder cancer. (bio by: ZsOzOne)
