Died 4 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 14, 1989, at Guest House Nursing Home. She was 83, a native of Moselle, Miss., and a resident of Baton Rouge.

Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., 5 to 9 p.m. Friday and after 8 a.m. Saturday. Religious services at 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, conducted by the Rev. Chris Andrews and Dr. Al Trickett. Graveside services at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Ellisville Cemetery, Ellisville, Miss., conducted by the Rev. David McIntosh.

Survived by two stepdaughters, Louella Clark and Lecressa Gordon, both of Baton Rouge; a stepson, George Baggett, Baton Rouge; a sister, Juanita Nance, Memphis, Tenn.; and three step-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by first husband, Bill Powell; and second husband, Longino Gordon.

Pallbearers will be Freddie Landry, George Baggett, Mike Hutchinson Jr., Mike Hutchinson Sr., Allen Wall, Leo Lambert, Billy Crosby, Mike Edwards and Bill Stadig.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church and Baton Rouge Garden Club.
