Gertrude Margaret Kohland of Harrington died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2001, in Harrison House of Georgetown. She was 96. Mrs. Kohland was born in Deusseldorf, Germany, daughter of the late Frederick Frank and Gertrude Clara Kessler.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing.
Mrs. Kohland was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, Harrington, and the Harrington Senior Center.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Kohland Sr., in 1991; and a brother, Frank Kessler.
She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Herman Kohland Jr. and Ernest and Sis Kohland, all of Harrington; four grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
