The death of Miss Bessie May Coe, eldest daughter of Ennis and Mary Coe, took place yesterday morning at 6:30 o'clock at the family residence in Stockwell. The deceased was 16 years old, and her death was caused by an affection of the lungs. She was born and reared in Lauramie Township, and had won her way to the hearts of a large circle of friends. She was a bright and charming young woman, and had many traits of character that entitled her to the admiration of all who knew her. She was popular with the young people of Stockwell and vicinity, and her death is regarded as one of the saddest that has been recorded in the community in which she lived within recent years.
The parents have the sympathy of their friends in their bereavement. The funeral will be conducted from the Stockwell Methodist church tomorrow afternoon at 1:30 o'clock, and the interment will be made in the Concord cemetery. NOTE: Mrs. Hanley and son came from Morocco last week to visit her relatives the Ellises, near Stockwell, it being her first visit here for thirty-three years. They arrived just in time to attend the funeral of Bessie Coe, who was a grand niece, but of whose death they had not heard until reaching here.
