Rodney Will was born on January 29, 1937, in Dale Township, Cottonwood County, Minnesota to the late Lloyd Dale and Evelyn Mildred (Scheldorf) Will. He was baptized on June 20, 1937 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Windom and later confirmed in that same church on May 25, 1952.
