Amber Gene Kirkland passed away at 12:15 a.m. on Monday, April 16, 2012, at Via Christi Medical Center in Pittsburg, Kan., following her battle with breast cancer. She was born Jan. 29, 1956, in Anchorage, Alaska, to Hugh Don and Shirley (Pagano) Crawford who preceded her death. Amber is survived by her husband, Tom Kirkland.
