Died After Long Period of Illness. -- Funeral Held Saturday Morning.

Mrs. Anna Fischer, wife of Mr. Joseph Fischer passed away Wednesday evening, March 15 at 10:30 o'clock after an illness of fourteen months.

Deceased's maiden name was Miss Anna Kronlage and she was born on the Kronlage homestead west of the city, December 20. 1889 and was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Kronlage. She received her education in the rural and St. Francis schools and grew to young womanhood here. Oct. 6, 1931 she was united in marriage to Mr. Joseph Fischer in St. Francis church. Very Rev. Father J. R. Herbers officiating at the ceremony. They established their home in the city and resided there four years when they purchased the C.L. Meis farm which has been their home since.

Besides her sorrowing husband and one son Joseph Frank, she is survived by on brother Joseph Kronlage and one sister, Lizzie wife of Mr. Ferdianand Thole. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Bernard and Henry Kronlage.

The funeral took place Saturday morning from the Kramer Funeral Home to St. Francis Church, where requiem Highmass was sung for the repose of her soul by Rev. Father N. Goedken, after which her remains were laid to rest in St. Francis cemetery. Father Goedken also officiating at the graveside. The pallbearers were Messrs John Schuchte, Leander Koch, Clem Demmer, Ole Keuter, Wm. Wente and Wm. Engleken.
