RAY, EMMA BENNETT, age 81, of Miami, passed away on October 12, 2008. She was a native of her beloved state of West Virginia and came to Miami in 1965. A devoted wife and mother, Emma enjoyed music, playing the guitar, travel (especially her trip to Australia), hiking, gardening and the great outdoors.

A woman of great faith, she was a lifelong member of Christ Fellowship Church. Emma is preceded in death by her husband, Harry Ray; father, Preston Bennett; mother, Zettie Kisamore Bennett; sisters, Virgie Lehman, Grace Price, Nancy Golden and Mary Wanless and brothers, Marshall Bennett, Byron Lambert and Joseph Bennett. She is survived by her daughters, Angie Gianfrancesco and Faith Xenos, sons Lynn Ray and Doug Ray, brothers Quentin Bennett and Dice Bennett, four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held at Stanfill Funeral Home from 6-8 PM on Thursday, 10/16/2008. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, 10/17/2008 at 11 AM at Christ Fellowship Church, 8900 SW 168 Street, with a viewing from 10-11 AM. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Woodlawn North Cemetery.
