Saint. He gave up his royal life in France to become a monk and later the Abbot of Montecassino in Italy. He was killed along with some of his monks by the Saracens while at prayer. He died in 884 AD and his Feast Day is Oct 22nd.

In the narrative it should be that he gave up his life of privilege in the Frankish Kingdom of Lombardy to enter into religious life at the monastery Monte Cassino in the Papal States. While he was the Abbot of Monte Cassino, he was killed along with many of his monks by Islamic Saracens while at prayer. He died on October 22, 883 and his Feast Day is celebrated on the same day of his martyrdom.
