Birth: Dec. 30, 1867
Saint Marys

West Virginia, USA
Death: Aug., 1966
Mountain Home (Baxter County)
Baxter County
Arkansas, USA

On February 14, 1893 Charles married Cora Cornelia Barker in Saint Marys, Pleasants County, West Virginia. They were the parents of Clarence Raymond, Walter William, John Alfred, Glenn Earl, Thelma Dorcas, and Helen. Charles was mainly employed in various capacities in the oil business.

I remember my great grandfather Cole. He was quite a tease, to a little girl. He had one finger half-missing from the oil fields, and he would tease me by acting like he had it stuck halfway up his nose. He also had a certain button on his car that I ask what was for, and he said it was for "flying gear" where you could rise above the traffic, but that it didn't work anymore. I loved him very much.

After wife Cora died, Charles enjoyed traveling to the homes of his many family members and visiting them. He died in Mountain Home, Arkansas, where he lived at that time, but was sent home to Reno County, Kansas to be buried by his wife.
