Andrew Edmond Bush, 100, passed away Tuesday, August 10, 2010, at his residence.
Visitation will be 10am-2pm today at Pilgrim's Rest Baptist Church. Services will be 2pm today at Pilgrim's Rest Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Stringer Family Funeral Services in Crystal Springs is handling arrangements.
Mr. Bush was a native of Jones County. He moved to Crystal Springs at the age of 18 and lived there until January 2000 when he and his wife of 77 years moved to Loranger, LA to live with their daughter.
He worked for Mississippi Products and later sold insurance. He was a funeral director for Stringer Funeral Homes until retiring at age 85. He was formerly a music director at Pilgrim's Rest Baptist Church for 30 years. He also served as Association Music Director and a deacon.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Whittington Bush; and sons, Willard Bush and Gerald Bush.
He is survived by son, Roger Bush of Loranger, LA; daughter, Gail Hegwood and husband, Mike of Loranger, LA; daughter-in-laws, Barbara Bush of Durango, Colorado and Faye Bush of Decatur, Alabama; sisters, Betty Eubanks of Houston, TX and Kathryn Amico of Houma, LA; grandchildren, Chandra Swetledge, Tison Hegwood, Jarrod Hegwood, Steven Bush, Tammy Ross, Sandy Morningstar, Jill Weaver, Geri Lynn Elliott, Jennifer Long, Brian Bush, and Kristen Rimes; great grandchildren, James Swetledge, Abigail Swetledge, Hannah Swetledge, Eli Hegwood, Justus Hegwood, Breane Nicole Hall, Brittany Gayle Long, Kadie Ellen Long, Justin Bush, Aubrey Bush, Zane Ross, Ren Ross, Kaylon Ross, Cherish Ross, Chase Gutierrez, and Shane Gutierrez; and great great-grandchildren, Kianna Ross, Wyatt Ross, and Matthew Gutierrez.
