Helen Olson, 85, Prairie Farm, Wis., died Sunday, July 27, 2003, at Pioneer Nursing Home, Prairie Farm.
She was born Aug. 3, 1917, to Ingabrit and Mette (Solem) Klefstad in the Town of Sheridan, Dunn County. She was baptized and confirmed at Hay River Lutheran Church, Town of Hay River.
She married Erling Olson at Sand Creek on Aug. 31, 1940. They farmed in the Town of Sheridan until retiring.
She was a member of United Lutheran Church, Prairie Farm, where she was active in WELCA and Ruth Circle.
She enjoyed sewing, quilting, cooking, and spending time with her many grandchildren.
Surviving are sons, Dennis (Sheila) and Donald (Gail), both of Wheeler; daughters, Diane (Harold) Rooker of Blaine, Minn., and Pat (Orland) Bygd of Prairie Farm; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a sister, Oline Stevens of Menomonie; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband on July 18, 1988; brothers, Adolph Bottolfs and Ole, Eric, and Odin Klefstad; and sisters, Gusta Peterson, Agnes Murray, and Anne Klefstad.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, July 31, from United Lutheran Church, Prairie Farm, Rev. Oz Twedt officiating, with interment at Vanceburg Cemetery, Town of Sheridan.
Visitation 5-8 p.m. Wednesday from Mark Rausch Funeral Home, Dallas, and an hour prior to services at the church Thursday.
