EDNA W. BAKER
Edna Wallis Baker, 90, Christian Health Center, died at 2:30 a.m. Sunday at Jennie Stuart Medical Center of natural causes.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Maddux Funeral Home, Hopkinsville, with the Rev. Michael Watts officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 tonight.
A native of Trigg County, she was born Sept. 8, 1908, the daughter of the late Walter and Penecia Parker Wallis. She was a retired Civil Service employee at Fort Campbell and was a member of the Canton Pike Homemakers Club and NARSEE (retired federal employees) and the Edgewood Baptist Church where she was a member of the Pep Club. Her husband, Clyde E. Baker, died in 1977. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Martha Louise Baker, in 1983.
Survivors include two sons, Walter W. Baker, Hopkinsville, Joe R. Baker, Lakeland, Fla.; a daughter, Elizabeth Baker Gray, Hopkinsville; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
