FLORENCE LILLIE HUMPHRES, 82, Hodges, died on Tuesday, October 15, 1996, in the Red Bay Hospital. She was the daughter of the late William Lee and Samantha Avery Williams.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, October 18, 1996, at 2 p.m. from the New Hope Free Will Baptist Church with burial in the New Hope Cemetery. Bro. Bobby Duncan and Bro. Charles Ballew were the officiating ministers.
Survivors include five daughters - Margie Lee Mills, Brenda Humphres, and Elihue Humphres all of Hodges, Johnnie Mae Askin, Clarksville, IN, and Quinnie Sue Tice, Hamilton; six sons - Rayburn Humphres and Alton Humphres, both of Hodges, Marcellus Humphres, Hamilton, Lecil Humphres, Zion, IL, Edd Humphres, Vina, and K.L. Humphres, Red Bay; two sisters - Annie Bell Cromer, Water Valiet, MI, and Geneva Kemp, Lotta, S.C.; one brother - Carlos Williams, Hamilton; 28 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Hamilton Funeral Home directed the services.
