Died at age 12 from cancer; a devout Catholic, she accepted the advice of Father Brennan, chaplain at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Lafayette, Louisiana, to offer up her own pain and suffering in prayer to God for the intercessory benefit of others. Since her death, her grave has become a locus of petitions, rosaries, medals, and other prayer offerings, and many have reported miraculous healing in their lives subsequent to a visit.
