Norbet B. Blocher, 85, Topeka, died Fri., April 6, 2012, at his home. He was born Sept. 30, 1926, at Richland, the son of Dewett B. and Sadie M. (Moore) Blocher.

He served in the U.S. Navy during W.W. II and retired from the Santa Fe Shops.

Norbet was a member of Kansas Ave. Un. Methodist Church and Orient Lodge # 51, AF & AM.

He was married to Dorothy H. Land on Dec. 23, 1950, in Topeka.

Surviving are his wife, Dorothy; a son: Charles (Tish); three brothers: Otis, Larry, and Archie; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Committal services will be at 10:00 AM, Tues., April 10, 2012, at Topeka Cemetery's Garden Chapel where Orient Lodge # 51, AF & AM, will conduct Masonic Services. Norbet will lie in state after 3:00 PM, Mon., at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Ave., Topeka, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Hospice, 3715 SW 29th, Ste. 100, Topeka, KS 66614.
