Paul Eugene Anderson, 82, of Parkersburg passed away on March 5, 2009, at his residence.

He was born March 31, 1926, in Belleville, W.Va. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Following his retirement with the American Red Cross in 1991, he enjoyed his retirement with The Kroger Co. on the southside of Parkersburg. He was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles, American Legion and Veterans of Foreign War. He had a great love for his pets and NASCAR.

He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Joyce Anderson; three daughters, Sandy Blythe of Canton, Ohio, Brenda (David) Cronk of Front Royal, Va., and Michelle (Martin) Campero of Winchester, Va.; one son, Tracey Eagle of Parkersburg; one sister, Florabella (Gene) Gilchrist of Washington, W.Va.; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a special niece and nephew, Kay and Rod Fluharty.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Pike St., south Parkersburg, with Pastor Mark Houser officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens with full military rites conducted by American Legion Post 15 of Parkersburg. Family will receive friends from 3-5 and 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Memorials can be made to the Parkersburg Humane Society, 29th and Poplar St., Parkersburg, WV 26101.
