Robert E. Klinefelter, 69, of Lockport, NY passed away Tuesday, November 14th, 2006 at at his home while under care of Niagara Hospice.
Mr. Klinefelter was born in Belfonte, PA, on February 19, 1937, the son of Eugene and Violetta [ Hartley ] Klinefelter. He moved to Niagara Falls, NY as a child and later to Sanborn, NY where he attended local schools. He was a graduate of Wilson High School. He served in the United States Army from 1958 to 1961, and also served with the Army Reserves, prior to his discharge in December 1963. Robert was a longtime member of St. Paul's Church of the Nazarene Sanborn, NY. He was employed at the Harrison Radiator in Lockport for over 30 years as a paint operator, prior to his retirement in 1997.
He enjoyed traveling, fishing and hunting and was a member of the NRA.
Surviving is his wife of 43 years, the former June E. Barner; a son, William [ Maria ] Klinefelter, of Clarence; a sister, Connie Deeter, of Halifax, MA; three brothers, Ted Klinefelter, of Orleans, MA; David Klinefelter, of Sanborn; Joseph Klinefelter, of Myrtle Beach, SC; two grandchildren Gabriella and Alyssa Klinefelter, and many nieces and nephews.
