James Adkins, 84, Taken By Death
James S. Adkins, 84, died at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Margaret Bennett, in Possum Hollow last night at 10:45 o'clock. He had been in ill health for a year.
Mr. Adkins was a life-long resident of Summers county.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Bertha Adkins; three sons, Harold, Virgil and Carl, all of Hinton; and two daughters, Mrs. Bennett and Gertrude Adkins, both of Hinton. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Bennett home in Possum Hollow by the Rev. Napoleon Gill. Burial will follow at Hilltop [sic] cemetery.
The Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors are in charge of arrangements.
