Len was born July 21, 1934 at rural Albion, NE to John and Anna(Zoucha)Zoucha. He attended schools in the Boone County and Platte County area and served in the Nebraska National Guard. Len married Ivy Carter on January 21, 1956 at Emporia, KS. In the early 1960's, he was co-owner of Zoucha Brothers Tavern in St. Edward, NE. In 1965, the couple moved to the Arlington, NE area where he worked for Rhea Cattle Company. Len and Ivy owned Ivy's Bar and Grill in Hooper, NE from 1970 to 1983. Len was employed at Monke Brothers Fertilizer Plant and Fontanelle Hybrids, at their Nickerson plant for 30 plus years and was the plant manager for many years. He retired in May of 2000. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Fremont.
He is survived by his wife, Ivy; sons, Shane & wife, Laura Zoucha and Dennis & wife, Jayne Zoucha, all of Fremont; daughters, Nancy & husband, Greg Ellis and Roxanne & husband, Steve Patrick, all of Fremont; brothers, Richard Zoucha of Omaha and James Zoucha of Genoa, NE; sister, Clare Olsufka of Omaha; 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 sisters and 7 brothers.
Funeral Mass, 10:30 AM, Monday, April 9th at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Fremont. Father James Keiter and Father Ron Battiato will officiate. Rosary/Vigil Service at 7 PM, on Sunday at Moser Memorial Chapel, Fremont. Visitation on Sunday from 3 PM to 8 PM with the family receiving friends on Sunday from 6 PM to 8 PM all at the funeral home. Visitation on Monday at church 1hr prior to service. Burial will be at the Calvary Cemetery in Fremont.
Memorials may be given to St. Patrick's Catholic Church.
