Rosa Lee Barnes, 80, of Elkin, died Monday, March 19, 2012 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.

Mrs. Barnes was born in Wake County June 7, 1931. She was a member of Arlington First Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Von Barnes; daughter, Shelia Balboa; her parents, James and Dessie Wiggins Love; and several siblings.

Mrs. Barnes is survived by a son, Wayne Barnes of North Wilkesboro; sister, Carol Suitor and husband, Erwin, of Tampa, Fla.; four grandchildren; and six great- grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at Arlington First Baptist Church with the Rev. Michael Church and the Rev. Will Barnes officiating. A graveside service will be held at Lafayette Memorial Park in Fayetteville.
