Mrs. Susan H. Sonski, a resident of Somersville since 1999 passed away Friday, January 13, 2012. Born September 13, 1924 the daughter of Thomas and Susan Howe, she grew up in the Frog Hollow section of Hartford and attended Hartford High School, Class of 1942. After graduation Susan worked at the Phoenix Fire Insurance Company. On October 15, 1949, she married Alex Sonski of Somersville and they settled
in Bloomfield and lived there for 50 years. Susan was active in St. Timothy's Church, and in the Bloomfield Womens'Club. She instilled in her children their firm belief in God and giving of themselves to others. Sue enjoyed outdoor activities throughout Ct. Recently widowed after being married for 62 years to Alex B. Sonski, she was also predeceased by her parents the late Thomas and Susan Howe, and a sister Mary Greenholt.
Susans husband, Alex B. Sonski (2011) predeceased her. Siblings, are Anna Legienza of Enfield, Longin and Peter Sonski of Somersville and Albin Sonski of Bloomfield. The burial will follow in St. Bernard's Cemetery in Hazardville section of Enfield.
