Raymond L. Winters, 81 of Evansville passed away Saturday, March 31 2012, at his home with his family by his side.
He was born August 15, 1930 in Marion KY and was a member of Bigham Masonic Lodge #256 of Kentucky. He was retired for 35 years from Specter Red Ball. He coached Women's softball team "Lindy Stars" and Men's Marine Corp. softball.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sharon Yvonne Winters, his parents, Otho & Vera Winters, sisters, Lilas Chandler, Dorothy Linzy & Patricia Mening, and brother, C.W. Winters.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Wanda Sue, his children, Rickey L. Winters (Jean), Mike Winters (Donna), Dan Winters (Kathy), Randy Winters (Debbie) and Linda Winters (Ricky T.) all of Evansville and brother, Clarence Winters (Fran); 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Our family wishes to thank Hospice Care for all their hard work, understanding and compassion.
Funeral Services will be held at 10 am, Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel - 5330 Washington Avenue with Pastor Fred Denton officiating. Graveside Services will be in at 1 pm, CST, Wednesday, in Mapleview Cemetery, Marion, KY.
Friends may call from 4 pm until 8 pm, Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at Boone Funeral Home - East Chapel.
