LEHMANN, Peggy Miles, 83, born in Wye Mills, Md., December 23, 1925, passed away in Centralia, Wash., May 14, 2009. Survivors include her daughter, Karen Emerson of Chehalis, Wash.; her son, retired U.S. Army Col. Miles R. Lehmann, of Medellin, Colombia; five grand-children, Mira (Mike) Gobel of Walla Walla, Wash., Katherine (Kevin) Renz of Bellingham, Wash., Robert (Jiyoun) Park of San Diego, Calif., Miles Emerson of Vancouver, Wash., and Eden Emerson of Seattle, Wash.; five great-grand-children, Emylee and Bryson Gobel, Hunter, Nate and Will Renz, and her long-time special friend, David Cold of Lutz, Fla. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Robert W. Lehmann, in 1995; her parents, Walter S. Miles Sr. and Catherine Miles; her brother, Walter S. Miles Jr.; and her sister-in-law Joyce Miles. Peggy was a retired legal secretary, a lifetime member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority, an avid bridge player, and a faithful fan of baseball, particularly the Atlanta Braves. She loved traveling, dancing, crossword puzzles, and spending time with her friends and family.
