Fond du Lac Reporter, Sun. July 7, 1996, p. B6, c. 3. Donald W. Bargenquast, 77, of 526 Sherwood Ave., Apt. 12 died Fri. July 5, 1996, at his residence. He was born July 11, 1918, in New Holstein, to Clarence and Viola Daul Bargenquast. On July 30, 1949, he married Ruth E. Radtke at St. Peter Lutheran Church. Mr. Bargenquast was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church, where he served as an usher. He served in the Army in World War II in the South Pacific, 32nd Division, Red Arrow Division, 1st Battalion, 121st Field Artillery. He was a member of American Legion Trier-Puddy Post 75 and Bohlman-Grimes VFW Post 1904. He retired from Fred Rueping Leather Co., in 1983 after 24 years of service. He then worked as a volunteer at Fond du Lac Lutheran Home. He is survived by his wife; four sons, Robert and his wife Mary of Milwaukee, David and his wife Debra, Roger and his wife Laurie, and Wayne and his wife Kathy, all of Fond du Lac; nine grandchildren, Sasha, Brett, Troy, Matthew, Christy, James, Tony, Tim and Tyler; one sister, June Zahn and her husband Al of Memphis, Tenn.; and two brothers, Wallace and his wife Gerry of Pine River, and Harold and his wife Susan of Milwaukee. Preceding him in death were his parents. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Peter Lutheran Church, with Rev. Kurt P. Ebert officiating. Entombment will be at Ledgeview Mausoleum. Visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. at Mach Funeral Chapel, and for an hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Memorials may be directed to St. Peter Lutheran Church, Winnebago Lutheran Academy or Hospice Hope Foundation.
