William A. Ezell died at his home in South Bartonville, near Peoria on August 11, 1915 following an extended illness from Bright's disease and euremic nephritis.

He left a widow, two daughters, and one son.

His remains were brought to Monmouth and his funeral was held at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Charles Billings, of 703 South Main street, with burial in the City Cemetery.
