Monroe City, Mo., Dec. 19 ----funeral services for Miss Carrie Johnson 85, were held this afternoon at 1 in the Garner Funeral Home here. The Rev. Deane K. Lierie officiated and burial was in Godfrey Cemetery near Hunnewell.
Miss. Johnson, formally of Hunnewell, died Wednesday morning at 7 in the Monroe City Nursing Home, where she had resided since February 20 1958. She was born in Kentucky May 13, 1878, a daughter of Jonathan and Angeline Mefford Johnson. She attended Shelby County schools.
Surviving are two nephews, John Henry Johnson of Detroit Michigan, and Willard Johnson, who is serving with the armed forces.
