Mrs. Sarah C. Bashaw, one of the oldest residents of Au Sable Forks, died at her home on Green Street, Au Sable Forks, New York, Sunday afternoon, March 17, 1935, at 3:55 o'clock. Death was due to the infirmities of her advanced years. Mrs. Bashaw, who had been in failing health for some time past, was born at Worcester, Massachusetts, in 1847, and came to Au Sable Forks with her parents as a child. She had made her home here during all the years since first coming to the Au Sable Valley.
Sarah's first husband was Luther Wilkins, with whom she had seven children. Her second husband was Moses Bashaw, with whom she had three children.
