I am Gregg Wilkinson, cousin of Mahlon. Mahlon Wilkinson is Major Mahlon Wilkinson, appointed by Abraham Lincoln as Indian Agent in Dakota's. His brother George was also, over the Winnebago's. Senator Harlan nominated Mahlon to Abe. Mahlon was married in Indiana, to Louisa Puitt, attended Asbury University with James Harlan where they both became lawyers.
