Cause of Death: Natural Causes

Mr. Golden was born in Newport, Tennessee, on November 26, 1934, the son of the late Buford and Lucy Vianna (Taylor) Golden.

Mr. Golden was reared and educated in Parrotsville, Tennessee and moved to Lebanon, Indiana in 1952. He served seven years in the Indiana National Guard and was assigned to the Lebanon Unit.

He was married to Wanda M. (Witt) Golden in Boone County, Indiana on November 28, 1958. Mrs. Golden survives.

Mr. Golden worked in Lebanon for periods at McDaniel T.V. and Appliances and Monlon Corporation. In 1982 he was employed by the Lebanon Consolidated School System as a maintenance technician until he retired in 1996.

Mr. Golden was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. In addition to his family he enjoyed travel, golf, yard work, and gospel music. He also liked carpentry. Along with his brother and sister-in-law, Ernest and Nancy Golden, they finished the lower level of the Knotty Pine Restaurant into a gift shop.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, September 13, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at Myers Chapel of Memories, 1502 North Lebanon Street, Lebanon, Indiana.

Visitation is planned for Sunday, September 12, 2004, from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary in Lebanon, Indiana.

Interment will follow military rites at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon, Indiana
