J.B. Golden, 82, of Lebanon, passed away Monday, March 26 at Parkwood Health Care Center in Lebanon. He was born November 21, 1929 in Bybee, TN. the son of Lucy (Taylor) and Buford Golden. He lived there until early 1950 when he and his family moved to Lebanon. He farmed for the Getz Farms here and in Illinois for around twenty years. He then moved back to Lebanon and worked for R & J Oliver Sales until he retired. He was a member of the Lebanon Moose Lodge until he was unable to attend. He loved hunting, fishing, camping, horseback riding and euchre. He married Wanda Walton in 1956 and they divorced in 1980. He then married Esther Tunnell; she preceded him in death. He is survived by his children Barb Lebo and husband Brian of Lebanon and Ron Golden and wife Melynda of Indianapolis; ex-wife, Wanda Golden his caregiver for the last eight years; stepchildren Carolyn Davis, Brenda Cox and Linda Jones all of Lebanon, Charles and Richard French of Georgia and John Tunnell, Jr. of Illinois; grandchildren Cory Johnson and wife Alyssa, David Lebo and wife Jane, Dana Lebo, Brittnay Davis and Ashley Amick; great-grandchildren Cole and Abby Johnson. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers O'Neil and Ernest Golden. Family and friends will gather on Wednesday, March 28 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 29 in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon. Funeral service will be on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. with Brian Lebo officiating in the mortuary. Mr. Golden will be laid to rest in the Lincoln Memory Gardens in Whitestown.
