Died 12:40 a.m. Wednesday, July 13, 1988, at her residence. She was 62, a native of Amite County, Miss., and resident of Centreville, Miss. She was a retired nurse.

Visiting at Newman Funeral Home, Centreville, Miss., 8:30 a.m. until religious services at 2 p.m. Thursday, conducted by the Rev. David Levels and assisted by the Rev. Randy Rich. Burial in Oaklawn Cemetery, Centreville.

Survived by husband, Leon Welch, Centreville; a daughter, Mrs. Barbara Toney, Centreville; a son, Sammy Welch, Centreville; four sisters, Mrs. Estelle Causey, Baker, Mrs. Irene Jones and Mary Hoover, both of Abita Springs, and Mrs. Alfreda Harris, Walker; and eight grandchildren.

Preceded in death by five brothers and a son.

She was a member of Berwick Baptist Church.
