Peter Joseph Rundberg was the second child of six and eldest of two boys born to Peter Rundberg and Hulda Amalia Lind. He was the grandson of Carl Oskar Lind and Lovisa Charlotta Jocobsdotter, all from Sweden.
Peter came to the US with his parents in about 1890, lived in Chicago where his father died, and lived in Washington State, then California where he met his wife, Edith Hannah Wilhelmina Werner, the daughter of < HREF="http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=164966158" target="blank">Anders Wilhelm Werner and his first wife, Johanna Andersson Andersdotter. They were married about 1910 and had three children:
