NAMPA — Services for Karen J. Hammons, 17, who died in Marysville, Calif., Saturday, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Shepherd Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Robert Hermansen, pastor of St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Ontario, officiating. Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.

Miss Hammons was born Jan. 5, 1950, in Salinas, Calif. She was raised in Wilder and attended schools in Caldwell, Nampa and Payette. She moved to California in May of 1965.

She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Glenna Mason, Marysville, Calif.; her father, Virgil Hammons, Payette; two brothers, Perry and Danny, both of Marysville; three half-brothers, Curtis and Kevin Hammons of Payette and Jimmy Mason of Marysville; a half-sister, Lora Mason of Marysville; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Hammons, Wilder; maternal grandfather, John (Tex) Preston of Salinas; and her maternal grandmother, Mrs. Berta Lundquist, also of Salinas.

Friends may call at Shepherd Mortuary from Thursday noon until time of the service.
