Glenara B. Luttrell Airhart, 83, died at 6 AM Sat., Nov. 10, 2001 at her Lafayette home. Mrs. Airhart had been a deputy clerk at Lafayette City Hall for 14 years, retiring in 1983. She also had been employed at Sunnyside Elementary School. Born April 22, 1918 in Corryton, TN, she had lived in Lafayette since 1937. She married Robert Airhart Sept. 24, 1939 in Colburn, IN; he died Jan. 26, 1995. She was a member of First Baptist Church. Surviving is a son, Bruce Edward Airhart (wife Barbara) of South Bend; a daughter, Marlene (Mrs. Michael) Dempsey of Noblesville; a sister, Fontella (Mrs. Henry) Spangler of Fayetteville, GA; and a grandson, Jason Dempsey. Service Nov. 14, Hippensteel Chapel, Rev. Peg Nowling officiating; internment Tippecanoe Memory Gardens.
