s/o Ambrose & Mary Shoemaker
Silas Shoemaker died at 7:30 o’clock last night at the home, three miles northwest of Stockwell, of heart trouble. His health had been impaired for over two years and his condition had been serious for some time. He was born December 7, 1849, on a farm near where he died and was well known throughout the county. Mr shoemaker was a member of the U B Church of concord and was a man of splendid character. All his life was devoted to farming and he was very successful. Mr Shoemaker is survived by his widow and a son Clifson, living at home; a daughter, Mrs C W Brown, of South Bend, and two sisters, Mrs Dan Storms, of Kansas, and Mrs William Fairman, of Iowa. The funeral will be held from the Stockwell M E Church to-morrow afternoon at 2 o’clock, Rev C h Leeson officiating. The interment will be in the concord Cemetery.
