Mrs Lulu May Shoemaker, wife of Clinton Shoemaker, died at 1 o’clock yesterday afternoon at the family residence, two miles northwest of Stockwell, from acute nephritis. She was a daughter of the late Richard Hurdle and was born on February 16, 1883. She was married to Mr Shoemaker on October 20, 1909. She is survived by a husband and two sons, Albert, and an infant not yet named. She also leaves a mother and three sisters: Mrs Hugh McManny, Mrs Floyd Wray and Mrs Everett Crose. Mrs Shoemaker was a member of the Methodist church at Stockwell and was a woman of beautiful character. All of her affection was centered in her home and she was an ideal mother. Her many womanly qualities won a host of friends for her and she was held in high esteem. The funeral will be conducted tomorrow afternoon. The cortege will leave the house at 1:30 o’clock and services will be held in the Methodist church at Stockwell at 2 o’clock. Rev F. J. Biesel, of Boswell, will officiate and the interment will be made in the Concord Cemetery.
