Actor. Born Frederick Levy, Tearle made his theatrical debut in 1892, working steadily in London until his return to America thirteen years later. Tearle appeared in 92 films, he is best remembered as 'Rawdon Crawley' in "Vanity Fair" (1932). Tearle's last film role of value was as 'Prince of Verona' in "Romeo and Juliet" (1936) (bio by: MC)
