Reuben L. Berg, 60, of P.O. Box 284, Gig Harbor, died Wednesday. Mr. Berg was born in Wollochet and had lived in the Gig Harbor area most of his life. He had been a line helper for Peninsula Light Co. for 24 years until his retirement a year ago. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of John Paul Jones Lodge No. 271, F&AM, the Electrical Workers Local No. 76, and Chapel Hill United Presbyterian Church. Surviving are his wife, Anna; two sons, Richard Lee and Gary Gene, both of Gig Harbor; a daughter, Mrs. Sharon Joy Cory, of Gig Harbor; a brother, Walter, of Gig Harbor; and eight sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Carlson, Mrs. Eleanor Rouse, Mrs. Frances Denton, Mrs. Dorothy Gustin and Mrs. Ruby Rouse, all of Gig Harbor, Mrs. Josephine Gillis of Vancouver, B.C., Mrs. Florence Robinson, of Ollala and Mrs. Mildred Jones of Port Orchard.
Known siblings: Carl, Josephine (Gillis), Myrtle (Carlson), Florence (Smith, Robinson), Walter, Eleanor (Rouse), Frances (Denton), Mildred (Danforth, Jones), Ruby (Blondell, Rouse), Dorothy (Gustin), and Opal.
Survived by wife, 2 sons, daughter, brother, 8 sisters.
