My maternal grandmother, sweet and gentle. She was born and got married in Lebanon. She emigrated to Argentina in the early fifties, where she spent the rest of her life. When I was little, she showed me how to plant seeds in the ground by digging a little hole, placing three seeds in it, then cover them with soil and utter "in the name of the Lord". This she did for every hole. Only once she returned to the Lebanon, when she was old, to visit the remaining family, her parents being no longer alive by that time.
