DOUBLE FUNERAL SERVICES TO BE HELD AT FONTANELLE CHURCH

Double Funeral services were held this Thursday afternoon at 2 p.m. in the Salem Church at Fontanelle.

Mrs. Elisa Hartung, 95, of Fontanelle died at her home Sunday evening after a five-year illness.

She was born June 18, 1865 in Quincy, Ill. She came to Nebraska in 1878 and spent the rest of her life here.

Mrs. Hartung was married Feb. 21, 1883 to August Hartung at St. Paul's Lutheran Church near Arlington. Mr. Hartung died Jan. 10, 1949.

The deceased was a member of the Fontanelle Salem Lutheran Church and a 60-year honorary member of the United Lutheran Church Women

She is survived by two sons, Harvey and Elmer, both of Fontanelle; and daughters, Miss Martha Hartung and Mrs. George (Gertrude) Strenger, both of Fontanelle.

There are seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband and two other daughters.

Services were at 2 p.m. Sept. 22nd, at the Fontanelle Salem Lutheran Church. A prayer services was held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Lawson Funeral Chapel. Rev. A. C. Baughman officiated. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
