He leaves nine children: Mrs. Frances Pschorr of Germany; Mrs. Cardel Derickson of Chester; Mrs. Aaron Bell of East St. Louis; Mrs. Charles Cassell of Washington, DC; Mrs. Raymond Ward and Mrs. John Schoenberger Jr., both of Murphysboro; Andrew of Murphysboro; Frank of San Francisco, California; and George of Moline. One daughter, Betty, preceded him in death.
He was a retired brewmaster of the McGovern Brewing Company of Marionville, Missouri. He was a member of St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Murphysboro. Mr. Hauner died at the age of 77 at his Murphysboro home.
