Alice E. married Absalom J. Barracks, have four children, and live near Illiopolis. Alonzo E. and Ida May live with their parents, three miles south of Dawson, Sangamon county. John W. Huckleberry enlisted Aug. 6, 1862, for three years, in Co. A, 73d Ill. Inf. He was captured at Stone's River Jan. 1, 1863; was paroled at Richmond, Va., and exchanged at St. Louis; served in the Invalid Corps the rest of his term, and was honorably discharged in 1865
